What this guide is for
All About Athens helps you plan city days, food experiences and sea days with their practical differences made clear. Explore three practical guides to planning your time in Athens. It should be useful even if you plan independently and never book through the related network.
Our commercial relationship
All About Athens is part of the Discovery Nomadz / BestCruise website network and links to experiences sold through that network. We have a commercial interest in these recommendations. Some experiences are operated by partner companies. Check the named provider, selected package and booking terms before reserving.
Discovery Nomadz is the experience catalogue, comparison and booking destination. BestCruise provides flagship-cruise context; Epidaurus is a specialist CruiseInGreece collaboration. These are related commercial recommendations. Check your selected booking for the provider and services included.
How to use these guides
Experience details and official visitor information were checked on 2 October 2026. Check current availability and travel information before booking or setting out.
We focus on the traveller’s decision: time, location, transport, access, inclusions and the trade-offs between options. Official venue and transport information is linked where useful. We include independent alternatives and distinguish suggested plans from connected packages.
Current provider information and your selected booking terms take precedence over a planning guide.
Accommodation remains separate
Athens Pathways offers Bright Retreat in Athens, Erasmus room enquiries and Zenira Aegean Villa on Mykonos. Follow the property links for accommodation details, availability and terms. A stay is not included in an experience unless its exact offer says so.
Privacy and your choices
Google Analytics is optional and starts only after you choose to allow analytics. Essential only keeps optional analytics off. You can revisit Cookie settings at any time; withdrawing permission reloads the page to stop loaded analytics. Advertising is a separate optional choice and stays off unless you explicitly allow both analytics and advertising. With both allowed, Google may use Analytics activity for advertising measurement and audiences in linked Google Ads products. An advertising-only choice starts neither analytics nor advertising. Earlier analytics choices do not grant advertising permission.
With your permission, analytics measures page content, links to related websites, explicitly chosen booking links, contact method and opened information panels. A link click is not a reservation or purchase. The custom events contain bounded page and destination labels, not booking-contact details or raw URLs.
Your choice is stored for up to 180 days when storage is available. On www.gr-travel.com, athens.gr-travel.com, mykonos.gr-travel.com and santorini.gr-travel.com, a shared preference cookie applies your choice to all four websites, with a separate cookie for advertising. Changing your choice on one applies to the others when you return to them or interact with their analytics features. Other websites ask separately and keep their own choice. A previous single-website choice is not extended to these four websites without a new choice. Google’s standard collection may process page and device information and technical identifiers. Withdrawing permission does not erase information already sent. See Google’s privacy policy.
Images and stylesheets are hosted locally. The hosting service may keep technical request logs, including IP address and browser details. This guide has no account registration, contact form or embedded booking checkout. Linked accommodation, experience and transport providers have their own privacy notices and booking terms.
Using these guides
These are planning resources rather than live transport or availability services. Check current provider information before travelling.
